About our company

The Sap Meister family was born in the heart of maple syrup producing country in Wisconsin. Our neighbors introduced us to the maple syrup industry. Poor quality, expensive cast aluminum spiles were the normal tools for hanging the bags and buckets on their trees. These are impossible to clean well and sometimes break when inserting or removing. Our first spouts were machined from solid aluminum, then anodized. These taps were highly praised but some customers requested stainless. This brought about the birth of the stainless steel spout. All our Sap Meister products are manufactured here at Marathon Machine Technologies, a small family owned manufacturing firm in rural north-central Wisconsin.
